1. Source Hierarchy & Scientific Verification
Our writers and editors adhere to a strict evidentiary hierarchy when drafting content:
- Primary Tier: Major international and governmental public health organizations (World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Health Service UK).
- Secondary Tier: Peer-reviewed systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and randomized controlled trials published in recognized medical journals (The Lancet, NEJM, JAMA, Cochrane Library).
- Tertiary Tier: Specialty clinical academies (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Academy of Pediatrics, Endocrine Society).
We strictly prohibit citation of commercial product marketing materials, unverified wellness blogs, or non-peer-reviewed social media claims.
2. Editorial Independence & Advertising Separation
Editorial decisions are made entirely independently of commercial partnerships or advertising. Advertisers and sponsors have zero influence over what topics we cover, how our medical guides are structured, or what clinical conclusions are reached.
All advertising displayed on the site is clearly demarcated from educational content. We do not accept sponsored articles disguised as clinical reviews.

We use medically precise anatomical terms (e.g., vulva, clitoris, cervix, testicles, prostate) to foster accurate body literacy. We recognize that gender identity and biological anatomy are distinct, crafting guidance that welcomes cisgender, transgender, and nonbinary readers with dignity and scientific accuracy.
When a factual error, outdated statistic, or broken scientific reference is identified:
- Our editorial desk verifies the correction against primary medical literature within 24–48 hours.
- The article is updated immediately and timestamped with a revision date.
- If a substantive clinical point is modified, an explanatory editor's note is appended to ensure full transparency.
